Nutrition
Breakfast is served to all children who arrive before 8:30 am.  Breakfast consists of 3 of the 4 basic food groups including juices and/or fruits, cereal and/or bread products and milk.

The breakfast served will meet 1/3 of the child's recommended daily dietary allowance.  Breakfast will not be served after 8:30 am.

Any child who is present between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm will be served a hot lunch.  The lunch will provide 1/3 of the child's recommended daily dietary allowance.  One food from the 4 basic food groups will be included.  Since balanced lunches are provided and included in your fees, packed lunches (other than field trips) are not recommended.

The 4 basic food groups are meat/protein, vegetable/fruit, whole grain, and milk.  A nutritional snack will be served to all children present in the afternoon between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

Infants will be provided Enfamil Formula with Iron.  If you prefer another brand, you are responsible for providing that.

At 8 months of age, infants are provided with Heinz Baby Food products.  Again, any other brands are your responsibility.

At 12 months of age, infants begin on Kiddieland's lunch program.  If you wish your child to remain on baby food at this time, you will need to provide it.

No children are disciplined on failure to eat.

Food Supplements or Modified Diets

If your child required a food supplement or a modified diet, you must secure written information from your physician regarding this.  Please speak with the administrator for more details regarding this.  Kiddieland provides a balanced nutritional breakfast, lunch and snack, which are included in your weekly fees.
